Corporate social responsibility (CSR) is now clearly part of the business environment, and ideas of sustainability will be increasingly embedded into business activities. Further, good CSR promotes profitability.
These are two clear messages that stemmed from last week's CPA Australia-sponsored seminar held by the Australian Centre for Corporate Social Responsibility (ACCSR) 'Turning Point: How businesses can navigate the corporate social responsibility landscape in 2007'.
CPA Australia's business policy adviser, John Purcell, led the discussion at one of the seminar's workshops, 'Reporting and assurance frameworks and standards'.
