Members are invited to attend a series of four social walking tours in 2009, which explore the rich cultural background of London, organised by the Europe branch.
Professionally trained tour guides will transport members back in time to follow the infamous trail of Jack the Ripper or to discover the London that Shakespeare and Charles Dickens knew.
The tours provide newly arrived or already established members with an opportunity to network while gaining an understanding of London's cultural heritage.
Dates for the walking tours are:
- Jack the Ripper on Saturday 28 March
- Shakespeare and Dickens' London on Saturday 18 April
- government and democracy on Saturday 23 May
- royal London on Saturday 20 June
The cost of an individual tour is £10.00 if you register before 31 January 2009 and £15.00 thereafter.
