Industry authors are invited to participate in the Article of Merit Award 2008, which is awarded to authors of outstanding accounting articles by the Malaysian Institute of Accountant's (MIA) Professional Accountants in Business Committee.
The award recognises authors of articles that make a valuable contribution to the development of the roles and domain of professional accountants in business, as outlined in the 2005 International Federation of Accountants publication, The roles and domain of the professional accountant in business.
The winner of the gold award will receive a cash prize of RM5000, the silver award winner will receive RM3000 and the bronze award winner will receive RM1500.
Authors rounding out the top ten will receive RM500 and certificates of merit.
The winning articles may be published in the MIA journal, Accountants today.
The closing date for submissions is Friday 19 December.
CPA Australia has a mutual recognition agreement with MIA.
